I have been going to Mings since they first opened and has seen many changes in the place all good changes! They do an amazing job with the food and the service! The food is good and of course usually eat way to much LOL but when it is as good as it is you can not help yourself!!! And Ray that runs Mings now is a great person and always has a smile on his face!! My family and myself LOVES MINGS! keep up the great work

Ming's has been a family staple since the mid 90's. I can't get enough Crab Ragoon or anything with broccoli! The family that owns the restaurant are always pleasant. Although they have a nice buffet, I suggest ordering from the menu. The menu food has a much better taste and flavor.

Loved this Chinese buffet (went for dinner). Everything was fresh and there was tons of variety. You never know what to expect when you eat at a Chinese buffet in a town you aren't familiar with, but this was a good one!

Ah! New Castle's take on Chinese food. The buffet is well-stocked and basically what one would expect from a cheap Chinese buffet: all the basics but a bit greasy. The fun comes from people-watching. On a Friday or Saturday night you will be highly entertained as the dregs of New Castle drag their obese posteriors here to graze endlessly at the cheap buffet. The things you'll see! On a better note, the staff is pretty helpful and friendly, and the décor is also pretty much what one would expect here.

I would rank this among the top 5 worst things I have ever put in my mouth...and I'm kinda slutty, so...

I give it 4 stars because it is delicious, but I do feel like it could be better, comparing to some big city Chinese buffets I've been to. Kudos to MING'S for adding more variety to their buffet (like cocktail shrimp!) Pepper chicken and crab rangoon are my favorites! Oh and don't forget their delicious white sticky rice! I never knew plain white could taste so good, until I experienced it properly made. Definitely go check them out!

First off it's a buffet and well buffets are not known for being awesome. Well they keep the food filled and its about average for asian. Their extremely nice and it is family owned. That makes up for anything else. There was another place in town but they were very rude and I was glad when their buffet got shut down. As far as Chinese buffets goes this is a good place. I would recommend it. I would like to see some better American fair on it for kids though.

Food options in New Castle are limited if you don't want an American chain or fast food. This makes Ming's Garden a diamond in the rough. I grew up with Ming's and have fond memories of going there with large groups of friends, staying for hours as we dined on their large, affordable buffet. Well, in recent years, the buffet has gotten even bigger (who know this was possible), but still maintained its value. If you are going to come to Ming's garden, you must get the buffet. Almost every time I come home to visit my family, I stop at Ming's. I've even turned my husband into a fan. This is not only a welcome restaurant option for locals, but I also highly recommend it to anyone driving through New Castle. It is the perfect alternative to the typical roadside fair along SR 3.

The best service! Clean and really good food. Not a lot of unique items but all the traditional dishes are there! Great place to go! Very affordable!

hmmm, I think LA is nuts! Ming's is our favorite place to eat, not just chinesse food but over all! The food is awesome (LA, when it's looking empty, it mean people are eating it;-) And they ALWAYS bring fresh out to refill it!!! I don't think I have EVER had to go up and ask for anything to be replaced!!!!! They have not always been the only chinesse resteraunt around, there was also China One, and the Red Sun... Ming's is the only one left for a reason... They ARE the best. Plain and simple. They have the most awesome food, and the best people there! I always have a great time when I'm there. I always see at least ONE person I know there (besides the owners and employees;-), which tells me, I'm not the only one who loves it there! The real customers will tell you how wonderful the food is there, you always get your moneys worth, and can sit there for hours if you want to! I also love the fact that I don't have the sun beating down on me and blinding me when I go in there. So I'm not a bit bothered by the blinds being down on the windows. They have good lighting inside, so we see our food just fine. They have new food to try, peanut butter chicken is a new one;-) My fave is the chicken with broccoli over the pork fried rice, my only request is MORE of the "soggy" sauce to pour over my rice! IT"S AWESOME!!!!! I also love the fried wontons. AND my kids love the tator tots, and chicken wings! Saves me from having to go to 2 different places for dinner;-) Who cares if there are "non chinesse" foods on the buffet, people eat it, or it wouldn't be there;-) Oh, and my kids LOVE the deserts and the ice cream... wow, self service ice cream, what a crime! somebody call the WAAAAmbulance! That's part of a buffet Sunshine! Do you want them to bring it to ya? Ponderosa has a self serve too, it's soft serve, but ya know what? The toppings are all out in the open;-) YOU don't know who touched it last... If you don't like it, go to a fast food or a "waited" resteraunt and PRAY that you don't make the server or cook mad:-) So you'll get a clean burger, minus spit in the middle! Thanks Ray for always providing and awesome dinner, or lunch for my family!!!!! A++++++++++++++ Oh, and LA, I DON'T work there, just have a family of 6 who BEGS to go there above ALL ELSE;-) Have a great day there Sunshine!

This is by far the nastiest food I've ever had. They try to pass greasy leftovers off as "Chinese food" but in all honesty it was horrifyingly bad. I don't recommend anyone eat here... ever. Try another Chinese place in Muncie or Indy if you want to know what real Chinese food is supposed to taste like. The Crab Rangoon is made with fake crab and nothing is freshly made, including the gallons of ice cream you have to serve yourself after every other customer has put their hands into the container. I left feeling literally sick to my stomach and will never return and I hope my review helps others avoid this stink-hole too. I can't imagine anyone would enjoy the soggy mess they feed you unless you literally have never had Chinese anywhere outside of this small town. Don't get me wrong, I've come to New Castle several times to conduct a feasibility evaluation for my company to open a branch there, and I have gotten to know many of the residents very well. It's because of my love for the people there that I believe they deserve better than this place.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
